Yves N. Murhula’s life is a remarkable story of resilience, determination, and impact. Born in Bukavu during the 1994 Rwandan genocide, Yves grew up amid the turmoil of rebellion and loss, witnessing the profound challenges that shaped his early years. Despite these hardships, he persevered, eventually relocating to Kinshasa in 2003, where he earned a high school diploma in Biology and Chemistry.
In 2014, Yves embarked on a new chapter in the United States, determined to pursue higher education. Adapting to a new culture, learning English as his fourth language, and overcoming culture shock, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He continued his academic journey at Eastern Kentucky University, graduating in 2022.
Since 2020, Yves has balanced a fulfilling personal life as a dedicated husband with his professional career and volunteer work. Currently serving as a Contract Manager at Galls, Yves also actively contributes to Helping Hand for Survivors, Inc. (HHS), where his extensive experience in youth and management roles plays a crucial role.
Passionate about empowering others, Yves leads initiatives that make a difference. As a Recruit Ambassador at RISE Community, he has guided over 100 candidates into thriving careers in warehouse environments. At Galls,LLC, he championed the implementation of an ESL program, creating opportunities for non-native English speakers to advance in their careers.
Yves’ journey is a powerful testament to overcoming adversity, embracing change, and driving meaningful impact. His story continues to inspire communities locally and globally.
